Over lockdown, I’ve met so many lovely families who have worked tirelessly to make their new plan for a micro Bar or Bat Mitzvah be as wonderful as possible. I can’t imagine the stress and anxiety whether to go forward and change all their plans for next year or to sit in the moment and go ahead with whatever they can do.

The benefits of lockdown, for me, I’ve met a few extra families for unexpected shoots who were not booked in with me previously. Making a photographic memory of their lockdown weekend celebration was incredibly important even if they were having a party later down the line.

Whatever the scenario, I’ve had the honour to be there to mark the occasion with a family photo shoot at home or in a local park nearby. This gorgeous shoot was to mark the occasion of Bar Mitzvah boy, Alex. Our intention was to have fun, to feel relaxed and enjoy the warm afternoon sun on a glorious late summer’s day.
