So when we’re all settled in the studio, I will direct the shoot and gently suggest different poses to try and if necessary, you can make any adjustments that feel more comfortable. There will be a mix of poses, individual shots and all siblings together. I hope to capture everyone's personality which I will encourage by lots of communication. If your kids are shy, I will be gentle and engage their interest and enthusiasm in a softer manner. Typically, the session will be no longer than 2 hours.

After your session, within 1-2 weeks, I will present you with 10 beautiful images. Having paid an initial session fee, you are then free to choose from any of the packages we will talk about at the consultation and view the products in person at the session. All my products have been sourced from the finest vendors in the portrait business which will leave you in awe and desire!!

I have put together a variation of bundles that will suit your budget and needs. I can also offer a payment schedule if that suits you better however the images will not be available until the full amount has been paid.

My kids get super shy in front of the camera, how will that work? I take great pleasure in making sure everyone feels very safe and comfortable. The session is relaxed and fun and engaging. I'd like to think that my nature is unintimidating. I have over ten years of experience working with kids of all ages and I've never had anyone leave the studio because they weren’t enjoying the atmosphere. The studio is small so there is nowhere to hide. It’s all about getting involved as soon as you get there. Nothing to distract you from being in the moment. Keep telling your kids about the shoot so they get excited and will be looking forward to our session.

Where are you based? Are you willing to travel? We are based in Borehamwood, Hertfordshire. There is easy parking a short walk away and even closer at the weekend.

Do you retouch our images? Yes, I do. I take great care making sure I match your skin tones and adjust the raw images which are typical when shooting with professional equipment. I will also add a slight filter to smooth out the simple creases!!!

What happens if we have to cancel at the last minute? Your £50 non-refundable booking fee will enable your booking to be rescheduled. so I’m always happy to move the date at no extra cost. We just need to find an alternative date that is convenient for us both.

What shall we wear? Keep all your clothes matching in tone. Pale colours are best to stand out from the background. For teenage kids, plain t-shirts, shirts are great. These images are to be timeless, classic portraits so no hoodies or logo T-shirts on this special day. For the toddlers and babies, if you wanted to have your little ones sit as naked as the day they arrived, I will be sure to have the room lovely and warm. Keep all tight clothes off their tummies and make sure their faces are clean and chocolate free. Baby wipes and nappy changing facilities are on hand!!
Do you have a local shop or kitchen to prepare food? Shall we eat before we arrive? There are plenty of shops minutes away but not immediately on site. I have a coffee and tea making machine and provide bottled water and light bites for kids. However, feel free to bring clean and stain-free snacks or favourite drinks ready to dispense should the kids need a little break or bribe in between poses though.
