So I’m having a cup of tea at my desk and the phone rings. I am listening to a young man on the phone tell me excitedly he’s about to propose to his wife, how it’s a surprise and am I available to be part of the surprise.

Wow was all I could think and say!! I thought this was the kind of stuff only on Instagram, not in real life!!! And certainly not in mine. What a totally romantic and utterly exciting opportunity.

Wow again… Count me in. Whatever I can do to be part of this incredible moment in your life. I was all in!!

I met Yoel twice before the event, one to walk through the garden and then again on the night but we had many phone calls in between so the plan of action was well and truly ingrained in my head. Nothing could stop us all from stepping a foot wrong.

On the night, the singers from Muzikawere in perfect harmony, the gazebo was incredible, dripping with style from Alexandra’s Flowers and the garden was decorated with love by Yoel and his parents….. An isle of petals leading to centre stage under a candlelit willow tree, the scene could not have been sweeter.

On arrival, Georgia was instructed to open a box that was waiting for her at the front doorstep. In it, contained an ipad with a super romantic video created by Yoel throughout lockdown at every location that meant something to their relationship. Oh, my golly can he have been any more romantic??

I’m not going to write more about the night because it was an intimate moment between Yoel and Georgia but let me tell you this… if my boyfriend made this much effort and gesture, I’d be the luckiest woman in the world. This qonderful guy has won my heart over, that’s for sure!!!!

Incidentally, I am actually shooting ANOTHER surprise this weekend. I daren’t say where incase I let the cat out the bag but watch this space and boy has Yoel set the bar high!!!
