As I fast approach 50, my whole outlook on life has definitely started to turn in different directions and I’m not scared to follow and embrace the change. I feel blessed to have the freedom and confidence to explore new creative directions as they unfold and this year is no exception!

When I started the studio early in March 2021, my eyes and ears began tuning in to like-minded women working on businesses that complement the way I want to promote mine. None more so than Vikki and Mala from VeryMakeupMad. A gorgeous dynamic duo from the beauty industry spreading an honest and authentic message to women.

As the world becomes more congested with outside influences, Vikki and Mala pride themselves on cutting through the noise to highlight a simple route in creating a natural look through makeup. As soon as I saw their enthusiasm and joie de vivre on Instagram, I tuned in! Their energy flows through their brand helping women of all ages feel beautiful with a less is more attitude.

As we dive deeper into a world of filters and facades, the VeryMakeupMad ethos is all about how to enjoy a simple, natural, consistent and attainable glow. An everyday route to self-confidence and self-love.

I realised quickly that my style of photography is much the same. It shouldn’t be stressful or intimidating to see your true reflection and love it. With all the experience I’ve gathered over the last 13 years I’m excited to create portraits you’ll love to show off because you feel seen and the reflection looking back at you truly is you!

We recently got together to share the love of natural beauty where the aim was to create a true representation of the girls. We laughed and swapped stories throughout and realised how important it is to have these experiences. To let go of your fears and show up for yourself. I’m pretty sure we nailed the shoot and I feel like we all got a sense that our mutual client base would love this experience if only they knew it was there. A fun-filled few hours which you’d never regret.
